Bunny Basket Crochet Pattern

This pattern is written using UK terms.
This basket is made by working rounds, increasing on the bottom to ensure that it stays flat.
Ch2 counts as a stitch throughout.

Main Basket
Using two strands of 'Cream', and 6mm hook, ch2.
Round 1: 6htr into 2nd ch from hook, slst into fist st to join. (6htr)
Round 2: Ch2, 1dc in same st, 2dc in each st around, slst to join. (12dc)
Round 3: Ch2, 1dc in same st, 2dc in each st around, slst to join. (24dc)
Round 4: Ch2, 2dc in next st, *1dc, 2dc in next* rep around, slst to join. (36dc)
Round 5: Ch2, 1dc in next st, 2dc in next st, *2dc, 2dc in next* rep around, slst to join. (48dc)
Round 6-16: Ch2, 1dc in next st, 1dc in each st around, slst to join. (48dc)
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Ears
Using one strand of 'Blush', and 4.5mm hook, lay the basket down flat and attach yarn in a stitch just off centre at the front, using the image as a guide.
Row 1: In FLO, 4dc, turn. (4dc)
Row 2-3: Ch2, 1dc in next st and in each st across, turn. (4dc)
Row 4: Ch2, 1dc in same st, 1dc in each st across, turn. (5dc)
Row 5-6: Ch2, 1dc in next st and in each st across, turn. (5dc)
Row 7: Ch2, 1dc in same st, 1dc in each st across, turn. (6dc)
Row 8-15: Ch2, 1dc in next st and in each st across, turn. (6dc)
Row 16: Ch2, skip 1 st, 1 dc in each st across, turn. (4dc)
Row 17: Ch2, skip 1 st, 1dc in eac st across. (3dc)
Fasten off.
Using 'Cream' and 4.5mm hook, attach on one side of the ear and work a row of dc evenly around the ear. Slst into the basket at the other side.
Fasten off.
Count along nine stitches and then repeat to make the second ear.
Strap
Using two strands of 'Cream' and 6mm hook, attach behind one of the ears in the un-worked back loops.
Row 1: Ch2, in BLO, 1htr in next 3 st, turn.
Row 2-50: Ch2, 1htr in next 3 st, turn. (4htr).
Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Count along eight stitches along the side of the basket, and then sew the other end of the strap to the back of the basket using the tail.
Repeat behind the other ear for the second strap. Take a length of 'Blush' and sew the ears to the straps.
Nose
Using one strand of 'Blush' and the 4.5mm hook, ch2.
Round 1: 6dc into 2nd ch from hook, slst into the first st to join. (6dc)
Round 2: Ch2, 1dc in each st around, slst to join. (6dc)
Stuff with a small amount of stuffing before continuing.
Round 3: Ch2 then dc2tog 3 times, slst to join. (3dc)
Fasten off and sew up the hole.
Place the nose in the centre of the basket, six rows down from the top and sew in place.
Cheeks (make two)
Using one strand of 'Cream' and 4.5mm hook, ch2.
Round 1: 6dc into 2nd ch from hook, slst to join. (6dc)
Round 2: Ch2,1dc in same st, 2dc in each st around. (12dc)
Round 3-4: Ch2, 1dc in next st and in each st around, slst to join. (12dc)
Round 5: Ch2 then dc2tog 6 times, slst to join. (6dc)
Stuff lightly with a small amount of stuffing before continuing.
Round 6: Ch2 then dc2tog 3 times, slst to join. (3dc)
Fasten off and sew up the hole.
Place the cheeks just under the nose and sew in place.
Eyes
Embroider the eyes in place using three stitches in a triangle formation.
