Step 1

Lay the first sheet of Iron-On vinyl face down onto the mat (make sure that all your images have been mirrored in Design Space before loading the mat into the machine). Select 'Everyday Iron-On' as the material and start cutting.

Once the cut is complete, repeat the steps for the second sheet of iron-on, so that the whole design is cut out. Next weed all of the Iron-On sheets by taking off all of the excess material leaving only the designs on the clear carrier sheet.

Once weeded cut around the design so that the pieces will fit onto the sides of the hat.

Step 2

Heat up the Cricut Hat Press using the Cricut Heat app.

This will send the correct heat settings and time to your Hat Press when you select the material type and the hat material.

Step 3
Next, tightly pull the hat onto the hat form so you have a solid base to work on.

Step 4

Lay the first colour of Iron-On onto the side of the hat and secure in place using the heat resistant tape.

Start pressing the design with the Hat Press, keeping it moving applying heat to the design.

Step 5

Once the first colour has been pressed and the design has cooled, peel away the clear carrier sheet from the Iron-On design.

Repeat the previous steps to press the second layer of Iron-On on top of the first, moving it to the left to give an offset look.

Step 6

Once the second layer has cooled, remove the carrier sheet.

Take the hat off the hat form, and it is now ready to wear!
