Cricut: How to Make a Birthday Card

It’s always handy to have a supply of Birthday cards, and these joyful designs are sure to spread sunshine.

Plus they’re super-easy and quick to create with the speedy Cricut Explore 4. All you need is your Cricut machine (we’ve used the Cricut Explore™ 4, however this project can also be made on the Cricut Maker™ 4), the Cricut scoring stylus, some bright cardstock and glue or double-sided tape.

Use bright, contrasting coloured cardstock for maximum impact!

* A Cricut Lightgrip Cutting Mat 12 x 12 Inches

* A Glue Stick

* A Computer, Tablet / Smartphone with Cricut Design Space app installed

 

How to make

Step 1

Open the Cricut Design Space project here >

 

Click 'Make It' and follow the on-screen prompts to set up the project.

Step 2
When prompted, place the scoring stylus into the clamp on your Cricut Explore 4, as directed, and place your chosen card onto the Cricut LightGrip Cutting Mat.

Step 3
Follow the on-screen prompts by swapping the Fine Point Blade with the Scoring Stylus, and peeling off / putting new sheets of card onto the Cricut LightGrip mat as you work through the project.

Step 4
When all the elements have been cut and scored; fold along the score lines and fix the card inserts inside the cards using glue or double-sided tape.
