How to make

You will also need some string and some metal trays.

Step-1
Start by cutting your piece of fabric into squares 30cm x 30cm. Fold one of the pieces in half and roll up. Tie an elastic band as tight as you to one end.

Step-2
Continue tying elastic bands to your fabric equal spaces apart until you run out of space.

Step-3
With another square piece of fabric, fold in half diagonally. Twist the fabric and fold in half again. With your string, tie one end to the wrapped fabric and bind around the fabric.

Step-4
You will want to bind the string nice and tight, this will stop the dye from reaching these bits of the fabric.

Step-5
For a different technique, fold your piece of fabric into a small rectangle. Using lollypop sticks, place one either side of the folded fabric and secure with elastic bands either end.

Step-6
Repeat this technique to cover the fabric, try to keep them evenly spaced. The dye will be resisted under the pressure of the sticks.

Step-7
Another shibori technique, which is very similar to tie dye. Taking some rubber bands and ties them around bunched up sections of the fabric.

Step-8
Tie as much as the fabric as you would like. You can also bind string around to create the same effect.

Step-9
