Costume

Costume
Using 'Tangerine' ch30 and slst into first ch to form a circle, ensuring the chain is not twisted.
Rnd 1: Starting in the same st, dc in each st around. (30dc)
Rnd 2: *4dc, 2dc in next st* rep around. (36dc)
Rnd 3: *5dc, 2dc in next st* rep around. (42dc)

Rnd 23: *4dc, dc2tog* rep around. (30dc)
Fasten off and leave a long (approximately 60cm) tail for sewing.
Push one edge of the costume inside the other, aligning the edges at the top. This should form a doughnut shape.
With your left over yarn tail, sew the two edges together (this will create the bottom edge of the costume). Do not stuff this section or weave in your yarn end.
Now create the shaping on the pumpkin costume.
Insert your needle through the inside of the costume and out through the top edge.
Then insert your needle into the bottom of the pumpkin and back out through the top edge where you’d like the next segment to start.
Gently pull on your yarn end to create an indentation and repeat these steps as many times as you’d like around the pumpkin (I created 5 segments on mine).
Weave in any left over yarn ends.

Once you’re happy with the costume, insert your hook into a stitch at the front and pull up a loop.
Ch18
Note - double check this length against your Frankenstein - the chain should go over the shoulder and reach the opposite side of the pumpkin. If your chain is too long or too short, add or remove chains.
Insert your hook into a stitch on the opposite side of the pumpkin and sl st.
Fasten off securely.
Repeat for the second strap.
Weave in yarn ends.
