Want to take your papercraft skills to the next level? Using only a square piece of paper, a pen, glue and a blank card, you can create a beautiful origami chick card!

Not only does it add a personal touch, but it also gives you a chance to get in touch with your creative side. The origami chick is also freestanding, making it a perfect decoration for your table or shelves.

You Will Need
* 10cm Square Yellow Paper 
* Black Fine Liner Pen
* Scissors
* Glue Stick (optional)
* White Cards and Envelopes (optional)

Step 1

Place yellow paper in a diamond position. Fold in half, then unfold.

Fold lower edges to the centre.

Turn over.

Fold top point down.

Step 5

Fold bottom point up, slightly past the top edge. This is the beak of the chick.

Fold in half.

Rotate the model.

Move the beak down to the centre and press the tail to secure the new beak position.

Inside reverse fold the corner (see second image for detail of the inside reverse fold).
Step 10
Fold the wing down. Repeat the same step on the other side.

Round the bottom corners by folding them behind. Repeat the same step on the other side.

Step 12
Draw the eye and wing on both sides of the chick.

Step 13
Your origami chick is now complete! Use it to decorate shelves or glue it to the front of a card blank and write an Easter greeting.
