We loved making daisies for our Spring press show and thought you would to! These daisies are great for lots of projects from brooches to wreathes. You will be able to add a touch of Spring to everywhere you go.

Abbreviations

K – knit

P – purl

St (es) – stitch (es)

M1 – Make 1 stitch by picking up horizontal loop lying before next stitch

and knitting into back of loop.

Skpo – slip, knit, 2 sts together.

K2tog – knit 2 sts together

Ch = chain

Tr = treble crochet (US double)

Ss = slip stitch

St = stitch

Step-1
How To Crochet A Daisy: Using yarn B and 4mm hook ch4 and join to the round. Round 1: 3ch, 7tr into round, join to top of 3ch with a SS
Step-2
Round 2: Change to yarn A, SS into any tr. *10ch, ss into next tr* continue until no tr remains
Step-3
Round 3: work 12tr into each ch loop, SS in original SS Fasten off

How To Knit A Daisy (make 2): Using 3.5mm needles and yarn A cast on 20 sts *Row 1: k Row 2: p
Step-5
Next row: cast off. With the one st rem cast on 19 sts and cont working as previous.*
Step-6
Continue working in this method from * to * until 5 lengths are made. Break yarn, fasten and secure.
Step-7
Centre piece Using 3.5mm needles and yarn B cast on 3 sts. Row 1: K 3 Row 2: P 3
Step-8
Row 3: K1, m1, k1, m1, k1 (5) sts. Row 4: P 5 Row 5: K1, m1, k 3, m1, k1 (7,) sts.
Step-9
Row 6: P7 Next row: K1, skpo, k1, k2tog, k1 (5) sts. Next row: P5 Next row: k1, sl1, k2tog, psso, k1 – (3) and cast off.
Step-10
Finishing's: Using a tapestry needle and yarn A sew the ends into the centre of the daisy, fasten and secure each end and darn in all ends.
Step-11
Using a tapestry needle and yarn B sew the centre piece into the centre of the daisy, fasten and secure into place and darn in all ends.
Step-12
Gently press with a cool iron.
