How to make

Step 1
Step 2
Use the templates to trace the fabric shapes with a heat erasable pen, then cut.
Step 3
Once all the pieces are cut, trace the rest of the design that is going to be embroidered onto the fabric.
Step 4
Place all the pieces of fabric together and place into the 6” hoop. Pin in place where needed – the sun and clouds.
Step 5
Zig-zag stitch around the sun, making sure there is minimal gaps between each stitch.

Step 6
Stitch around each of the clouds, using a simple whip stitch and making sure there is an even gap between each stitch.
Step 7
For the white part of the wave, satin stitch along each edge, the stitches will meet in the middle at the narrowest part.
Step 8
Remove the piece from the hoop, take the smaller 4” hoop and place around the green grass section. Whip stitch along the top edge, then take the thread and weave it over and under the stitches twice.
Step 9
Place the 6” hoop back around the piece. Whip stitch along the top of the blue sea piece. Then, back stitch along the three wave lines.

Step 12
Fish bone stitch the fluffy parts of the Pampas grass
Step 13
For the shells, follow all the lines with a back stitch.
Step 14
Remove the piece from the hoop, press well with an iron to remove the pen marks.
Step 15
Place back into he 6” hoop and tighten as much as you can. Trim the excess fabric around the hoop so that you are left with approx. 1.5cm of fabric.
Step 16
Take a long piece of thread, knot at one end and start a running stitch on the fabric at the back. Stitch the whole way round and pull the threads tight, knot together at the end.
Step 17
Your piece is now finished and ready to be displayed!
