*Scissors
*Hot glue gun/glue sticks
Choose the colour combination of pom poms you would like to cover your wreath. I have used a mixture of brightly coloured wools and yarns of varying thicknesses.
Start to make your poms using your pom pom maker. I have used all four of the makers to give the wreath a variety of different sized poms, and I have also mixed different colours of yarn to create a colourful amount of poms.
Tip: When making your poms why not use two different yarn colours for a multi-coloured pom? Simply wrap several colours around the pom pom maker at the same time, just be sure to tie all ends in at the end. They will look great against the single colour poms!
Use a glue gun to stick the poms firmly to the polystyrene wreath. I started by sticking the largest poms first and then arranging the smaller poms amongst the largest.
Continue by covering your entire wreath with pom poms until no space is left uncovered. You've now finished your pom pom wreath.
Tip: To fill in smaller gaps on the wreath you could use ready-made poms.
