Trace around the heart onto plain paper. This will allow you to sketch designs knowing they will fit the plaque.
Measure the plaque. When you create a design allow 5mm around the edge to ensure it fits. The font shown is Marigold, you can find free fonts available with a quick internet search. Once you have created your design, in the settings of your design software flip the image horizontally and print onto tracing paper.
Using the embossing tool, gently rub over the image to transfer the ink onto the plaue. Peel back the paper and check the pressure you have applied is enough.
Measure the plaque. Chose your design, the fonts shown are Debby and Bite_Bullet, you can find free fonts available with a quick internet search. Print or photocopy onto tracing paper making sure the design is smaller than 14cm x 14cm and trim the excess paper. Tape the tracing paper into position along the top. Place the Graphite Trace Down underneath the tracing paper and tape securely.
Trace your design using a hard pencil with medium pressure, check your pressure by lifting both sheets.
Allow the pyrography tool to heat up for approximately five minutes.
Once you have finished burning you may wish to use a sharp scalpel to gently scratch away mistakes or scorch marks.
