How to make
Select, measure and cut out your fabrics. You will need:
- Each front rainbow stripe is 12cm x 46cm and there are 19 pieces in total using 10 different colours. Cut 2 of each colour, except for the middle colour panel – where there is just 1 piece.
- Back cream piece – 46cm x 206cm.
Using a 0.5cm seam allowance, sew the rainbow strips together lengthwise in rainbow 'order' until you get to the middle, before going in the reverse rainbow order – or however you like, using a simple running stitch.
Place the cream back on to the rainbow strips, right sides together. Using a 1cm seam allowance, sew all the way around leaving a gap for turning out. Turn out the right way and press.
Using a 0.5cm seam allowance, sew all the way around the edge to finish. You could use a decorative stitch if you would like!
