How to Make Cake Jars
These cake jars make the perfect party favour for kids and grown ups alike! Play around with different colours to suit your theme or change the flavour to a favourite among your guests.
Follow our step-by-step guide to assemble these sweet treats and wow your friends and family! You can even personalise the jars with co-ordinating ribbon and a name tag.

You will need
How to Make
* 12 x 12" Sheet Cake (flavour of your choice)
* Clear Roun Glass Jars (300ml)
* 400g Buttercream Icing
* Gel Food Colouring - Strawberry, Orange, Coral, Lemon and Red
* Bright Sprinkles
* Circle Cookie Cutter or Knife
* Piping Bag
* Large Drop Flower Decorating Tip
Start with a disk of cake at the bottom of each jar.
Load up your piping bag, fitted with a 2D drop flower nozzle, with your first colour of frosting.
Pipe a layer of frosting on top of the cake disk inside the jar.
Top with another disk of cake and repeat for each jar.
Finally, pipe your last colour of frosting on the top and add sprinkles to finish.
You could experiment with different cake flavours, coloured sponges and different fillings like jam, fruit curd or fresh fruit.
