You will need
You Will Need
* Ceramic Baubles
* Acrylic Paint
* Gilding Paste
* Gold Leaf Flakes
* Paintbrushes
* An Old Towel
How to Make
Take the string out of the bauble and then paint it your desired colour. To do this, you will need to paint the top half first, leave it to dry and then paint the bottom half. You may need to do several coats of paint.
Paint the bottom half plus a bit more of the bauble with the gilding paste and leave for 10 - 15 minutes. Tip the gold flakes into a bowl and, when the 10 - 15 minutes are up, dip the bauble into the gold flakes. Make sure that all the gilding paste is covered. Use a soft brush to brush off the excess.
Using a towel, rub the bauble quite hard to take off any small bits of gold that are sticking out and to shine the gold up a bit.
If there are any gaps that you want to fill in then you can repeat the process to touch them up.
When you are happy with your baubles, tie the strings back onto them.
