How to Needle Felt a Halloween Wreath

Whether you are a beginner to needle felting or more experienced, this step by step will ensure you have an eerily great masterpiece to hang up!

* Trimits White Natural Wool Roving 10g x2
* Trimits Black Natural Wool Roving 10g x2
* A Needle Felting Brush
* Felting Needles 3 Pack
* A Needle Felting Tool
* A Glue Gun
Download the template below in preparation for this project.
Tear off a segment of black roving wool (never cut the wool, always tear with your hands).
Using the needle felt needle in vertical stabbing motions start to create your bat shape. Use the bat template to help with the shape.
Keep working the wool until you have a firm bat shape. You can use the multi-tool to make this process quicker.
Repeat this process to make a few bats.
Tear off a segment of white roving wool.
Use the ghost template to help start stabbing the wool into your shape.
Next, tear off a tiny piece of black roving wool. Using the single needle felt needle, gently stab the black wool into your ghost shape to make the circular eyes and mouth.
Repeat this process to make a few ghosts.
Starting with the a torn off section of white roving wool, wrap this tightly into a rough ball shape.
Use your needle to stab wool into the ball shape working all over.
Then, use your hands to help roll the ball into a firm round shape. This helps to mesh the fibres together.
Repeat this to make several white pompom balls.
For the black pom pom balls, tear off a segment of black roving wool and wrap this tightly into a rough ball shape.
Use your needle to stab wool into the ball shape working all over.
Use your hands to help roll the ball into a firm round shape.
Repeat this to make several black pompom balls.
Once you have all of your elements, use the hot glue gun to start gluing your needle felt pieces onto the wreath – style as you desire.
And there you have it, your wreath is now ready to hang up to make a truly spooky Halloween decoration!
