Craft with me at 'Hobbycraft Eastbourne'

Hi, I’m Isabella Oates, a Colleague Artisan from Hobbycraft Eastbourne. I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Printed Textile Design from De Montfort University, Leicester. I love all things crafty but currently my favourite crafting medium is Polymer Clay, specifically for Jewellery Making. I’m originally a Mixed Media Artist, so I love to combine crafts whenever I get the chance! Recently I’ve spent most of my time Rug Tufting nature inspired rugs or making Floral Up-Cycled Collaged Cards using the mountain of paper I've collected over the past few years.

Floral Polymer Clay Jewellery

These jewellery pieces were made using Fimo polymer clay. The shapes were cut out using cookie cutters and the surface texture was created by rolling sandpaper over the clay surface before baking. The design possibilities for this medium are endless!

Glossy Monstera Leaf Stickers

These stickers were drawn using Procreate (a drawing app perfect for sticker designing), printed onto glossy sticker paper, laminated, and then cut out using the Cricut Maker 3 machine.

Tufted Begonia Polka Dot Leaf Rug

A leaf rug made using a Tufting Gun and Women’s Institute DK Yarn. I usually describe rug tufting as “a hardcore version of punch needle” as the gun is quite intense! A fun and new crafting method for me.
