How to Make
Download and print the A4 Party Hat Template, cut out and draw around the template onto the Kraft Card.
You may want to use a craft knife to cut out the holes for the arrow tabs.
Using a ruler and a brown felt tip or maker pen, draw diagonal lines in both directions across the hat.
Repeat so that you have four hats.
Cut strips of the pastel ribbon to approx 14cm. Glue a strip of hot glue to the wrong side of the hat top and stick 3 - 4 ribbons to it.
Once dry, close the hat up securing the tabs with glue if needed. Repeat for all four hats.
Use a hot glue gun to stick the large pom poms to the base of the hat, space out evenly.
Once dry, use hot glue once more to fill the gaps with the smaller pom poms.
Once dry, remove any excess strings from the pom poms. Repeat until you have made four different coloured hats.
Cut the elastic to approximately 20cm long.
Use a hot glue gun to stick the elastc to each side of the hat.
Once dry, your hat is ready to be worn.
Within the Cricut Design Space app, search for the project "Celebrate Party Hat".
Click on "Customise".
Detach and remove the drawn element.
Save as your own project.
Change the cut colour to brown.
Click on shapes and insert a score line, change this to draw, resize and place diagonally on the party hat.
Copy and place until you have a complete set of diagonal lines, then attach these together.
Duplicate the attached lines and rotate, you will need to detach and resize some of them to fit on the hat. Attach again, then select all and attach.
Check the measurement of the hat, it will need to be able to fit onto an A4 piece of card.
Once you are happy click "Make it", change the project copies to four, and the material size to A4.
Your machine will now draw and cut the card following the on-screen instructions.
