* 4mm Knitting Needles
* Scissors
* Yarn Needle
Abbreviations
sts - stitches
k - knit
p - purl
rs - right side
ws - wrong side
With yarn A and 4mm needles cast on 27 sts.
Rows 1-4: Work 1x1 rib stitch
Begin working in pattern as follows:
Row 5: K1, work pattern, k1
Row 6: P1, work pattern P1
Continue as above until 15 rows of pattern have been worked.
Now you are going to cast on to make the sleeves.
Row 20 (RS): Cast on 18 sts, k19, work pattern, k19
Row 21 (WS): Cast on 18 sts, p19, work pattern, p19
Continue as above until pattern is complete
Knit straight rows until work measures 4cm from cast on edge.
Next row (RS): Work 26sts, cast off 11sts, work remaining 26 sts
Next row (WS): Work 26sts, cast on 11sts, work remaining 26sts
Continue to knit straight rows until work measures 10cm from beginning of the sleeve
Next row (RS): Cast off 18sts, work to end
Next row (WS): Cast off 18sts, work to end
Continue to work straight until work measures 7cm from cast off edge of sleeve. Work 4 rows in 1×1 rib stitch
Cast off all sts
Making up: Fold the jumper in half with neck opening in the center with RS together. Using mattress st, sew underarm and side seams together. Sew in all ends.
