Don’t waste your money like I did
Really annoyed this is the second time this has happened to me with the white WI DK yarn. There are black/ dark green fibers that have been intertwined with the white strand of yarn. When I try to remove them it just ends up fraying the yarn making it even more fuzzy (it is already quite fuzzy to begin with). Of course when creating a project the black /green bits are unmissable doing I have to cut those bits out which is a waste. The yarn is soft though so it is annoying.

Waste of money. Bad quality. .
On 9th Feb I bought 9 balls of this yarn in pink and 6 balls in white to make a few baby blankets. Once I had started blanket and came across a frayed bit I thought it was a one off so continued working with yarn. By the time I realised all the balls were faulty I had spent so long making blanket that I had to continue using this yarn.
All the white balls had many faults such as fraying yarn and a few snall black bits if yarn woven in. I also found that in a few places the yarn varied in thickness. I have only used a few balls of the pink yarn but this was the same poor quality. I bought this on a 3 for 2 offer. This yarn is cheap but the quality is unacceptable even at this price. It looks ok crocheted up but I have had to cut out and rejoin so many faulty bits of yarn that I have now got many yarn ends to sew in.

Knot good -_-
I bought these when they were on offer for any 3 for 2; I decided to buy 6 balls, as I am crocheting a baby blanket. I'm on my 5th ball out of 6; every single ball I have used so far has had massive knots/tangles in them and the threads just keep breaking apart. The quality is very poor. I am quite disappointed because I have bought and used "The Women's Institute" yarn before from Hobbycraft and it has been perfect.
This batch has been very annoying to crochet with. I expected better from Hobbycraft, hence the 1 star rating.

Bad packaging
I ordered this to arrive by post. When I opened the box, the top of the unwrapped wool was covered with a shredded cardboard box (for some reason).
When I took the shredded cardboard away the wool was covered in tiny (and not so tiny) bits of cardboard.
The tiny bits have attached them selves into the fibres of the yarn and is not just a case of brushing them off.
Please find a different way of packaging your items or at least cover the cardboard with polythene or something.
This would save a lot of time trying to pick out the tiny pieces.

Not impressed.
I bought this to make items for my local maternity unit and was not impressed with the amount of knots in one ball……..8 is not acceptable……I returned labels with a letter to Hobbycraft and they were not interested as I had not returned the wool.I had to keep undoing rows to join at the ends. Will not be buying again……I have had better from bargain stores……..too expensive to have this problem. Not good customer service.

Lovely soft texture
This Wool is lovely and soft great colour, Great value ...
Because the wool is so soft it is very easy and very lovely to knit with.
I made a babies blanket with this wool and the end result was great .
Just right for a little baby to snuggle up in .

Good quality but often stuck to the label
I do like this brand of wool but I often find that the wrapper around the yarn will be stuck to it with glue, making that part of the yarn unusable. I now always pull the label off a bit to make sure it isn't stuck before purchasing.
