Knotted wool Carnival
When i got this wool(and it isnt cheap) i was delighted until i took the label off it and the wool fell into a pile!!"My husband and i spent 2 hours trying to wind it into a ball but the wool knots onto itself. I believe its a sub quality batch as it had so many knots in the ball. I went back to hobbycraft shop and they werent interested sadly. I did knit the wool into a jumoer for my 5 year old grandson but i had to do so much neatening on the inside due to the knots. I wouldnt buy this again. First time i havent been 100% happy with a purchase from hobby craft and i purchased two balls and both had same issues.

Fab colours, tangles annoyed!
Fabulous , love the colours. Needed more of this yarn than my double knitting pattern advises. Ball collapses so i spent ages unravelling the tangles. Finished result was fabulous.

Lovely and soft, knit issue to be wary of
Made a lovely scarf. It’s soft and colourful. Smooth enough for warp on my rigid heddle loom. So used as warp and weft. Made the most glorious colourful fabric.
Loses a star because there were a couple of knots - not (pun intended) a major issue apart from the colour wasn’t the. Wound from the same point in the face so I lost a chunk having to find the next point to match the colour change.

Would recommend
I brought 4 balls of this wool with 2 different batch numbers. The first batch unwound beautifully from the middle with no tangles occuring, the 2nd batch needed to be unwound from the outer edge. Working this out I found meant no tangles occured as some reviews reported and thoughout the 4 balls I only found 6 joins of the yarn in total.
The yarn crochets really well and im pleased with the outcome of my blacket project.

Really beautiful yarn 🧶 couldn’t wait to start using it, currently making a Sirdar pattern child's dress with it the colours are very vibrant, more so than they look in the ball, the stripes change quite quickly, 5 rows of stockinette on approx 20cm width pattern. Splits a little to reveal the middle of the yarn is whiter with less dye penatrated, very child's

Cheerful and bright - would buy again
Beautiful colours and works up really well. It was slightly thinner than other DK yarn but was consistent throughout which is the main thing.
There were 2 points where the yarn colour change was tied as a knot rather than a gradual change but this doesn't affect my project

Rainbow wool
Wool knits up in stripes but the yellow colour seems to half its thickness ...this means having to unwind a large amount of wool to get the colour sequence correct....very annoying ...may have to buy a third ball to finish garment

Beautiful vibrant colours
This yarn has beautiful bright colours. They work wonderfully together. I have crocheted a blanket with it for my 2nd great grandchild due later this year. The yarn works up very nicely does not split.
