Experienced Crafter
Being an experienced crafter and able to Knit, Crochet, and Machine Sew, it is important that I have a continuous supply of quality materials.
I have found that Hobbycraft fits my needs and saves me having to visit different outlets. Hobbycraft is a 30 mile round trip for me so important that I can buy over the counter and at a competitive price. The wool I buy has to be good quality and Hobbycraft has never let me down.

Not the best
Would have preferred pure cotton, this yarn is loosely woven and the strands separate too readily.

Gorgeous Yarn
Absolutely lovely brand of yarn. I love working with cotton blends and this one does not disappoint. Would be great to see a wider variety of colours in the brand. But for now, this is just what I need for the baby blanket I'm making. Lovely and soft and easy to work with.

Knits up beautifully
I have used this brand many, many times, mainly for babies blankets, which I gift or sell. It knits up well and is really soft and easy to wash. So pleased to see the range of colours has been extended.

Good yarn
Good quality yarn for the experienced crocheter! Since my last reviews I have found that the yarn does split (that'll be the cotton in it) but as is 50% cotton and 50% acrylic it has a higher quality feel than the pure acrylic yarn. Another thing to note is the yarn does have 'joins' tied into it, where two lengths are tied together. So half way through some tricky stitches a knot appeared, which was disappointing. But as it's good value it's to be expected really. Will buy again!

Excellent stitch definition
I bought this dk cotton yarn to crochet a baby blanket. I initially bought just grey and white but then swapped one ball white and one ball grey for yellow. I would have liked the yellow to be slightly pales but it still works well. It doesn't split which is great and is nice to work with. The balls are 100g so there's plenty there. I'd say its on the smaller side of dk but still works up well. I used a 5mm hook. I bought when there was a 3 for 2 offer making this yarn good value

Knits up like a dream!
Purchased this wool to knit up a baby snuggle toy and have enjoyed every minute of knitting using it !! The wool positively glided into the needles.
The wool has a weighty smooth feel of quality about it you would check from a cotton blend and the finished product looked wonderful.
