NOT SUPER CHUNKY
This wool is much thicker than other super chunky wools sold by other brands (even ones stocked at Hobbycraft) it really should have another category of thickness as it is misleading.
Because of this it didn't knit up to the correct size for my pattern (it was almost double) so I had to return to get another brand. They were very happy to accept my return.
The colours and feel of the wool are lovely however, so if not following a pattern or very good at adapting patterns, would recommend based on that only!

Lovely soft and cozy yarn
Lovely and warm wool a bit pricey but I used it for my very first knitting project to make a scarf and worked really well. I did a one to one knitting lesson In store and this was the perfect size yarn for me to start with in order to learn the smaller one was fiddly to start. The only thing I struggled with was finding a tapestry needle big enough to sew in the ends but managed it with hands and the one I bought from also hobbycraft.

knitcraft mustard and steel hug chunky yarn
Brought this wool for my daughter. She has never knitted before and wanted to make a throw for a chair. Colours were great, was really easy to knit with no splitting . Great results for someone who has never knitted before. She’s proud of what she has made and planning her next visit to hobbie craft for her next project.

Cost and user friendly
This yarn is great for beginners, as the chumminess really helped me get to grips with the basics.
It is soft and cosy, and super easy to work with! I crocheted a chunky scarf which I get compliments on all the time.
I’m going to buy more as I have already been asked to make another scarf and a blanket!

Nice but a little disappointed
I used two of these for one of my first knitting projects, both had a knot in the yarn where one or more strands look like they’ve been tied together and one ball was made up of two pieces. Thankfully the knots showed on the reverse side of a cushion cover so weren’t an issue and the separate length was a good for the seams. As I’m a beginner, I’m not sure if this is a normal thing to find with yarn but I purchased two balls in a different colour which were fine. It has knitted up into a nice cushion cover though!

Super chunky yarn
I’m currently crocheting a blanket with this yarn, it’s extremely easy to work with, lovely and soft and creates really nice patterns. Also the colour is like a light mustard and goes well with current decor trends and you could do lovely cushion covers with these. It also has a nice slight sheen to the fabric. I used a size 12 crochet hook on this yarn as it felt right for the tension to me. I’d recommend this thickness yarn for any beginners as it’s so lovely and chunky/easy to work with.

Great feel and workability
I’m a novice at crochet and doing a large blanket for my daughter. I’ve found this to have reliability consistent good quality as I’ve needed up using a fair number of them to complete my over ambitious project but it’s turned out fantastic! Would def use this brand again.
