Wow I was like a child in a sweet shop!
I have recently had to give up work due to my disability and was feeling down, so I thought I need to keep my mind active with something I enjoy so I thought I would have a go at painting and drawing again and this was something I was very good at when I was younger. So I made a trip to hobbycraft and was blown away with all the choices I had to get going. I bought acrylic, water colours, paper and brushes to get started. A great store and online choices for me.

Did the job
Hobbycraft's own make of board. No other choice, so had to buy these. Did what it was supposed to do. A bit disappointed as a couple of the pegs around the outside of the circle were missing and we needed that one to complete a homework project. No time to go back and change it. If buying just check all the pegs are there. Otherwise did the job.

Excellent Boards!
These are really sturdy and work great with official Hama beads, as well as the Hobbycraft own brand version. My son is very happy with the boards and having lots of fun designing!

Good for making patterns but do not put under heat
Bought this product last week to make some Christmas decs for the tree and to give as gifts.
Used baking paper over the finished design to melt the beads and the board warped after one use.
Would recommend to buy for pattern making purposes but do not use with heat - to melt the beads I now use the masking tape method.

Found pegs too far apart for beads
Maybe there are larger beads for these particular boards? I found despite trying a couple of times the beads I bought didn’t fuse together, it’s as if the pegs are too far apart? I’ve done this before and was very successful

Great for coordinating
My daughter has gone big on these ironing beads, where you complete a picture within the shape, it's brilliant for eye hand coordination, especially good for special needs people, and youngsters.
