Inexpensive Racing Car Kit With Potential.
This kit was first produced by Merit in Potters Bar back in the very early sixties. The moulds have done the rounds by going to SMER in the Czech Republic then on to Atlantis and in turn to the present manufacturer. There was also a Talbot Lago kit too that was similar to build.
The mouldings are showing their age and aspects of the kit are very simplified when compared to modern kits. But hey! What do you expect for just eleven quid!
I have seen this kit and the Talbot Lago transformed into gems by experienced auto modellers.
A good cheap basis for any modeller wanting something inexpensive to try as a first step into modifying and upgrading at little expense.

Disappointed.
Poor mouding. Very basic instructions. No numbers on moulding to identify parts. Poor paint colour identification for indiviual parts. But only £11.00p so you can't expect too much.

Very old & basic but buildable.
Very old & basic Merit kit with awful wheels & radiator grill, but I knew what I was getting so it didn't bother me, & it's a unique subject in this scale.
