They are of a good quality - not too flimsy and look like they will be substantial which is what I need as they will be used in the forest for a variety of activities and as such need to be robust. Decent price and a good size for small hands to hold.

It can be used to mix colours e.g. blue and yellow to make green which is a great learning experience for young children. Of course it can also be used for separating items for collage work e.g. buttons, gems, glitter etc. Sturdy and no sharp edges.

I even recommended it to a grandma who was looking for stocking filler ideas for an arty granddaughter... as I also use them for separating beads and craft bits when my children help making decorations.

The pans on these are a decent size so I can mix enough of the same colour of solution to do a good area. Does not stain and cleans easily

I liked the fact that it was strongly made and was very sturdy on a surface - wouldn't get tipped over easily by small people!
