These Modelcraft No. 11 Fine Point Blades for No. 1 Handle give you a sharp angle for precise cutting. Ideal for a wide range of crafts, the classic fine point blade is ideal for fine angle cuts, carving, and etching, piercing, scoring, scraping, scribing and trimming.

These blades work with a variety of materials, including paper, card, plastic, balsa and foils, making them suitable for a huge range of crafts. They’ll be suitable for crafters, modellers and professionals.

There are five blades included, all designed to be used with the no. 1 handle.

They were smaller than the original blades, however, they fit and have proved to be useful in cutting 1mm thick styrene sheet and also through self adhesive felt. Also come in a small protective case which allows for easy storage without risk of stabbing yourself when you reach into your storage case.

My only drawback is I found them to be pretty brittle at the tip which os fine for my use but maybe a bit of a pain for someone working with harder materials than balsa.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hudsonpie from Good overall performance. I buy these blades quite regularly, they work reasonably well for light trimming of plastic during scale model builds. They do go "dull" quite quickly..and the tips tend to break off..but I can usually soldier on with an old blade if I run out. Not bad.

While not as sharp as more expensive scalpel like blades these craft blade refills are fit for more or less whatever you'd need from them craft wise, personally I use them for alterations and removal of cast flak from plastic and pewter models.
