Very good for the price
I do alot of jewellery making from home and I picked up this set of pliers when mine had broken. They were so cheap for three different kinds in one box that I couldn't resist. They are relatively comfortable to use and they get the job done, however the cutting head pliers are only good for very thin wires or thinner things in general other wise you're going to give your hand some blisters with the strength needed to do anything (or they could buckle with too much, having said that, mine have stayed in working order even though iv tried several hard and non recommended things to cut with them!)

Value jewellery making pliers
Pack of three pliers...bought to start me off on my new hobby. The flat nose pliers are fine but the round nose pliers aren’t very strong and have bent out of shape while moulding wire around it. Pulse the wire cutting pliers aren’t that sharp to do intricate work. Ok to start out with but will have to purchase some higher quality pliers in the future.

Quality of finish
Not up to Hobbycrafts usual standard, pin nose pliers and side cutters are fine but the standard pliers are a poor fit, when the jaws are closed there is a 1 millimetre gap which means they can't hold fine wire or thin metal, the general finish also seems quite poor.

Shocking quality - don't waste your money!
The quality of these is shocking. I have only just bought them this afternoon and will be taking them straight back to the shop tomorrow. The round nose pliers are supposed to be smooth so your wire isnt marked when wrapping around but these have large ridges down them and also aren't straight. That, in addition to the jewellery stock being really low has left me feeling very disappointed with my visit to hobbycraft today. I have now got the inconvenience of taking them back. Not happy.

Would not recommend for jewellery making unfortunately
Unfortunately the pliers leave marks on the wire I use for jewellery. The round nose pliers seem to be work but I have not used frequently. The wire cutters will cut but not evenly/cleanly. When I first got them out, some sort of liquid (oil?) come out. Overall they might be OK depending what you want them for.

Works, but only for small projects
This three-piece set is useful because you get the different kinds of pliers. However, they are fairly weak and shouldn't be used for more heavy-duty work. The metal also leaves black stains on your fingers, so anyone with children prone to putting their fingers in their mouth should be wary.

Absolutely perfect for smaller hands
I bought this set for my DD (aged10) to start out her jewellery making, she’s been badgering me fo a set of her own for ages and even picked out this set her self. As the title to this review suggests it’s perfect size for her (or for someone who wants a travel set) she spent most of the day yesterday making earrings and bracelets with them. Now just have to get her a set of crimping pliers.
