Avoid this paper.
Very poor quality paper. Not fit for purpose. I was very disappointed with this paper, It is marketed as watercolour paper but the paint goes mottled when applied and does not disappear when it dries. The colours go very dull as the paper is too absorbent. Note: I used good quality professional paints on the paper. I would not even give this paper to a child for practice.

I cried
My mum spent her last money on this so that I could finally paint with watercolour on a good quality paper (or so we thought!).
Initially I asked my mum to buy this so that I can complete my A-Level summer task, which states that i needed A3 size paper. I already had good A4 sized watercolour paper, but obviously in order to complete the task to the best of my ability I decided to get the A3 paper. That’s when my mum’s and mine eyes were laid on this watercolour paper, just because it cost 5 quid less than the professional one… But this watercolour paper is so so bad I can’t even describe it fully.
I am highly disappointed with the quality - first of all, the paper absorbs the water very quickly, so when I take lots of pigment on my brush it just stays as a stain on the paper and I can’t spread it out(even when my brush is Really wet). Secondly, the paper just falls to pieces, despite it being 350gsm. Thirdly, layers are impossible to draw as it doesn’t give off the same effect as on average quality watercolour paper, such as the one I bought from the WHSmith brand for way less money than this. And lastly, most of the pigment gets stuck in the pores(even when painting on the smooth side).
This is a fake “premium” art supplies wanna-be that legitimately made me cry because we are quite tight on our money and I made my mum spend 12 quid on this very poor quality product.
Overall, I’d recommend anyone saving yourself your nerves and spending a few more quid to buy some real good quality stuff such as winsor&newton watercolour paper.
On the positive side, I can use this as scrap paper or use it for my coloured pencils.

Not good quality
Although the paper is thick, when wet it begins to break up. Not happy with finish

Not Good at all
Thought I would try this paper out using watercolour and inks using the wet in wet method - it was awful - the paper soaks up the water almost straight away so the watercolour paints and inks can't flow. I can't understand why Hobbycraft have decided to stock this product and I have no other option but to shop elsewhere to get my paper from now on

Lack of description
I am leaving this review before I start as I am trying to find out what the paper is made of. Its not on the bar code description label. Not on the website anywhere. Its frustrating. Please can you say on your products whether they are pulp or cotton and what %age.

Absolutely awful
This paper loses it's sizing and mottles making it absolutely useless for watercolour painting, do not buy!
Brought in A3, A4 and A6 whilst on 3 for 2 sale and they all have the same problem, save your money for something better.
