This Silver CH01 Sewing and Embroidery Machine is the perfect choice for stunning embroidery, monogramming and a whole host of other sewing work. It has 100 built-in embroidery designs, 120 frame patterns and six different font styles, ready for you to mirror, rotate and resize to suit your ideas.

The machine has a full touchscreen capability and comes with a stylus, making it even easier to use all of the features it offers. There is a USB feature on the machine that enables you to download embroidery designs online (in PES or DST file format only) to use on the machine, expanding your potential even more.

As well as being perfect for embroidery work, this machine also offers great sewing functions. You'll have 88 stitches, including utility and decorative stitches, and eight one-step buttonholes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bev Robson from Silver CH01 embroidery and sewing machine As a newcomer to embroidery machines but having already owned a Silver sewing machine I was very pleasantly surprised to find how easy this machine is to use. The instructions are so clear and there are back up videos for visual instructions. The range of built in stitches and embroidery designs is great and there’s even a USB port to download and use designs from other sources. I love this machine and am so glad I made the choice to continue using Silver machines, not only for ease but also for great value too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Rritz from Machine is ok This is a nice machine but you must use the same thread in top and bobin I use gutterman and also the tear away mid weight sizing Lovely stitches to choose from The built in embroidery designs are nice but you can not download from internet to usb it just does not work and because of this i gave 3 stars and i am thinking of returning it I spoke to the assistant in store she was exremly helpful but Nothing works I used the EZ software I put no to the question would i recommend but it is yes if you want a sewing machine and only use the in built designs

Rated 5 out of 5 by cmartin1994 from Great machine, research before you buy! I bought this machine over 6 months ago and feel I have purchased a superb budget machine for what it can actually do! Beyond happy with this purchase. I run all Microsoft so cannot speak for Apple users. - EZ Embroidery software was super easy to download, simply type the http address on the user manual provided. This is also where the extensive user manual is found as the manual provided in the box is minimal. - There are numerous preloaded designs on the machine to play around with for starters which was great as a newbie to machine embroidery. - I have successfully downloaded embroidery files from various websites (Etsy, Urban Threads, Embroidery Library etc.) in DST or PES formats and using the EZ Embroidery software, converted these into ZHL files that can be successfully read by the Silver machine. - The only fault I have found so far is that the embroidery hoops are quite difficult and expensive to replace. I have found one UK supplier of them who was able to provide one for me. - This machine has so far successfully embroidered t-shirts, plushies, ITH items such as earrings, purses and small toys as well as being easily converted into a standard sewing machine (takes a couple of minutes to switch the plate and foot) to make various garments. - As it is a relatively cheap machine the biggest 'hump' to overcome was learning how to manipulate and convert the embroidery files downloaded from other websites into useable 'ZHS' files that the Silver machine can read. There are plenty Youtube tutorials though that aided me in doing this. It now takes me minutes to download, convert, load to USB and start embroidering!

Only added another star because it’s the only embroidery machine available in the U.K. it seems. No online support, instructions are terrible. Barely any information available from Silver website itself on how to run or troubleshoot the machine. Online video playlist supplied is unhelpful, and if anything, complicates matters further.

You need to be prepared for faulty files, two different types of software and learning to convert and a specific type of usb! It’s not a one type fits all! After owning this for two weeks I’ve figured a lot of issues. Stabilisers etc. All in all for a single needle machine! Definitely worth it.

At first i thought the reason the machine was awful was because I didn't mow how to use it but now looking at the reviews I can actually see the the machine is bad not me. Hobbycraft when great at all when I reached out for help regarding this machine, I wish I had just returned it and got my money as it hasn't been touched in months. I bought as there weren't any other embroidery machines in the UK at all but definitely should have just wanted for something better
