I’m very disappointed with this item it didn’t go higher the 90c so no good for jam making

Burnt jam
one lot of my jam burnt using thermometer. second lot I used thermometer and a saucer from freezer. Jam set on the saucer yet the thermometer was still registering 10 degrees below setting point. will stick to using saucers in freezer method in future.
