Not as good as expected
Really disappointed that the funnel does not fit into all jars. I used a 1lb jar but the funnel just sat on the top. I had to hold it with one hand, although it kept moving. Getting the jam into the jar with the other hand was difficult. One spoon at a time, quite a mess by the end. It would have been better if the end was long and tapered to fit in all jars.

Check before you buy
Recently purchased this item along with Hobbycraft 200ml jars X 12, unfortunately the funnel did not fit the opening inside or out. It did help but I had to hold the funnel over the jar while ladling the chutney causing some spillage and stickiness.

This is a necessity !
Only started making jam this year and tried filling jars without a jam funnel ,found it a bit dangerous trying to get very hot product into a small opening, it was recommended that I purchase a funnel for safety reasons, and I have to say that from my point of view it made a huge difference filling the jam jars with no spill over

Superb aid for bottling jam
This made a huge difference to getting hot sticky jam into the jam jars. It was a perfect fit for normal size bottles but was too wide for the ‘half size’ bottles that come in a tray of 6 but was it still easier to do it with the funnel than without.

Very disappointing
Waste of time. This funnel doesn’t fit any jars I use, I am using standard jam jars - some of which were bought from hobby craft. The funnel is way too wide, wish I had read reviews before purchasing.

Does not fit Hobbycraft jam jars
Given that this is a Hobbycraft own brand product, it is absolutely ridiculous that it does not fit the Hobbycraft clear hexagonal jars that are sold for jam making in store. Waste of money and time.
