The Panzer IV Aus. D is one of Tamiya some vintage kits dating from the 1970's, as such the level of tooling is lower than expected of comparable models of the day from other manufacturers. However the level of detail on the kit is superb, enjoyable build as always from Tamiya and for the price you'd be hard pressed to find a similar standard. Two possible variants can be made, the DAK Panzer IV which includes the turret stowage bin and jerry can rack, and the typical Blitzkreig version used in the French, Polish and Balkan campaigns.

Turret gun section fitting very difficult to figure out from instructions. Had to go to Youtube to learn how to fit properly.
Old tooling
Overall:
You know when you buy Tamiya you are getting a high quality well - tooled model. This one does not disappoint.

Stater model kits
Very good for beginners !. Good size and detail and can be improved in many ways.size and manufacture also very good and a great price. Really like building this model do much I bought another one. All in all a good kit that can be made even better with little effort.

A good choice for a present
