The Thunderbird 2 and 4 Model Kit allows you to build a scale model from the classic TV series Thunderbirds.

Thunderbird 2 is International Rescue’s heavy transport aircraft. Large, and with VTOL ability, this 6,000mph craft is required to carry the rescue equipment to the danger zone in one of its six interchangeable container pods.

As well as Thunderbird 2, this model kit also features Pod 4 and its cargo Thunderbird 4. Piloted by Virgil Tracy, Thunderbird 2 featured in all but one of the original TV episodes.

Being of a certain age, I was brought up on Fireball XL5, Supercar, Stingray and Thunderbirds, and as one of my hobbies is building model kits, I had to buy this. It's well designed, very nicely moulded, the instructions are very clear (unlike some kits I've built recently) and it all went together without any problems at all. It's made by Adventures in Plastic, whose parent company is Bachmann- well known for quality products mostly for model railways and I think the quality reflects this. I was so impressed that I also bought Thunderbirds 1 and 3 in the same scale and they don't disappoint either. All in all, it's a very good kit and I would certainly buy some of their other offerings.

The mouldings are clean and sharp with the minimum of flash to be removed, the instructions are clear and easy to follow and if followed even a beginner should have no problem building this model. Builds up into a very nice model of a craft from a classic 60s T.V. series that will appeal to young and old alike.
