The only thing I was worried about was the inside but I am pleased to say that it is glazed so is suitable for water and real flowers. The vase is quite small but is strong, sturdy and good quality. I think it is excellent value for money and will make a perfect gift once painted up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Devil666 from Bisc square pot Great item , glazed inside , if you do not have a kiln , you can paint them with acrylic and gloss finish. And it would be ok to use , ie water tight vase, if you have a kiln, this can save you a firring and you can just glaze and finish fire , mine came out really good.

Friends love the look I've created. Went back and brought more. Will definitely be back soon for even more. Only problem having is finding boxes to put them in for posting. Highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by Julesde3rd from great idea i have never done anything like this before, so do a little research is recommended - glaze first, then draw on and seal or draw straight onto them just seal? i never thought to check. still haven’t! but they turned out grand. My kids loved drawing on them and gave as presents. personalised and one of designs.

Unfortunately our local Derby store has decided to remove the boxes to make it ‘easier at the checkout’ Such a shame as it’s not really safe to post them without their own box .

Work particularly well with acrylic paint and varnished when completely dry. I also stuck felt to the base to protect furniture. The only problem you will have, is deciding on which decorative design to use!

I wanted a plain vase to paint myself and give as a bespoke gift to a family member and they were over the moon. I’ve since bought another as well as more of Hobby Crafts ceramic style products.
