Great yarn but colour consistency could be better.
This is my 'go to' yarn. I crochet both toys and other items and use this yarn a lot for all purposes. My only gripe is the inconsistency in its colours. Make sure you check your dye lots as I now have a spare jumper front as when I went back to get more cream, it had changed from a bright cream to a beige cream and I had to start over again.
Also 10 shades is not a particularly wide range of colours, more would be good! And please bring back the Heather colour.. I've now got a fourth jumper front waiting for me to find more of the Heather colour!
Works up lovely and soft and washed well, also rarely splits, unlike the WI d k and 4ply!

beautiful soft wool
Having bought a number of 400g balls of Women's Institute cream, but also a few of lilac, blue, brown and maroon - and made 6 baby blankets (crochet) to date - I feel pleased to say that the yarn was a pleasure to work with and the result so appealing - so soft and smooth. Recommended.

Excellent service
This knitting yarn is lovely to use. It is
Very soft, I am allergic to wool so to actually
get Aran in Acrylic is great. This would
be ideal for babies and children.

Lovely to work with
I’ve been using it to crochet the final two rounds on each of 126 granny squares and will be using it for joining them to make a throw. It gives them the natural look and feel I wanted and the colour goes perfectly with the DK acrylic colours I used for the previous rounds. Soft and smooth, good value (especially at 3 for 2 thank you Hobbycraft!) I used it with DK acrylics instead of the natural cotton yarn used in the original vintage boho style pattern (which would have been too pricey for me especially as I’ve made double the number of squares suggested in the pattern) and it actually has crocheted up with a natural cotton look to it, giving me a lovely looking pile/ mountain of granny squares!

Knits and washed well. Great value
I knitted an Aran jumper for a friend. She was so pleased. It knits up well. I’ve used a lot of the Wi Aran wool. It’s good quality, washes well, and great value on the three for two. What’s not to like? I’ve order another three balls for myself.

Good buy
Bought this to use with my knitting machine. Good quality and great value for money. Will def. be buying again. Perhaps a few more colours would be good.

Great yarn to work with
Lovely soft yarn to handle and work with. I am using on a large crochet CAL which is growing rapidly into a soft warm and cozy throw. I ordered online for quick delivery and was grateful for the Hobbycraft 3 for 2 offer on WI yarn. Always a good colour match. Thanks Hobbycraft and WI for a great product with a lovely colour range.

Lovely for baby items
I love the Women's Institute yarns - they are really soft and are ideal for knitting baby items. I used the aran for making a baby blanket. The Hobby craft 3 for 2 offer makes it very reasonably priced. The only slight down side is that every ball of wool I've used so far (and there have been many) has a break in the yarn.
