Won't buy again!
I have been buying products for years from the store in Ashford. Since the pandemic the staff there they'd do anything not to make the effort. The other week went there and from the door they rejected 5 buying customers because they were not accepting cards; another time I asked at the till to check my email to see if correct as I never got any emails from hobbycraft. That was too much. I then went to the store at Westwood cross and indeed the spelling of my email was wrong on the system hence for many years had no offers or emails. They kindly sorted out the problem.
Your store in Ashford is run terribly badly!

Durable but rough
The yarn is good quality, doesn't fray easily and is really durable, but is quite rough, so would not recommend if making something that will go directly on the skin. There are sometimes clumps in the yarn and it's sometimes thinner than the rest of the yarn but it isn't hard to get rid of the clumps so not too fussed about that. Overall great product, just a few things that mean it's not the greatest for clothes.

Good wool
I bought grey and maroon. I couldn’t understand why the maroon was more expensive than the grey as they are the same make.

Lovely deep plum colour
Used yarn to crochet toddlers hat to represent a plum eaten by hungry caterpillar. Rich colour, soft texture

A great wool
I brought this wool to make a Twin Set.
The wool knits up fantastic and I love the colour and nice to know that I have brought the wool made in the UK.

Fabulous Women’s institute yarn
This is a great yarn to knit with and good stitch definition. Does not split and is really soft. A great range of bright colours too.

Unexpected tied joins throughout the ball of wool.
Really disappointing. My daughter started a big crochet project and then came across tied joins in the wool which meant she had to abandon all her hard work. Bought 3 balls and each had the same thing. A lot of money wasted.
