I bought these to paint for my wedding and use as bases for the vases but the way the sticker has been applied on one side makes it very hard to get off without ripping and leaving residue. So I thought I’ll just use one side and leave the sticker side face down. Wrong. The other side has a larger staple in it where the price/hanging tag was, when I removed the staple it left holes and splinters! Badly thought out by hobbycraft.

Horrible sticky lable
Love the product but the incredibly sticky label took time and white spirit to remove. Turned mine into a portable chalkboard and my toddler loves it

Good buy
Bought to mosaic, so will be a good base BUT the suggestion is that this is to paint on and the label does not come off without leaving a very sticky residue.

Centrepiece lifesavers!
Using these as a base for centrepieces at my wedding, and they are just perfect. Easily sandable, they don’t splinter at all and they take acrylic paint and pyrography beautifully. Glad I found these, had been searching for ages!

Wooden circle
Nice quality wood circle, good thickness & perfect for decorating, however the sticky label on it is large & well stuck down so hard to remove & leaves glue residue behind. Hence 3 stars instead of 5.

untreated plywood plaque
The sticky label is difficult to remove and the staple (used for displaying) leave holes. Needs sanding & priming before painting on as untreated. Once the prep is done it's easy to paint on, I used acrylics and Posca paint markers.

Reasonable quality.
I wanted to use this as the base for a homemade clock, however the reason for only 3 stars is the fact that the edges were very rough and needed to be sanded and also the shaped edge wasn't even the whole way round.
