Long ruler
Useful item. The grip makes it easy to position and hold in place. A metal edge would be better (probably more expensive), but a good bùy nonetheless.

Sturdy metre ruler bright yellow
The sturdy metre ruler with its handle above makes it easy to move along fabric. I have used it to match large pattern repeat, but also as a rotary cutter edge on the curtain fabric. Has a hole to hang the ruler and bright yellow easy to find.
