A blend of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, the batting can be hand or machine stitched up to four inches apart. It is perfect for a huge range of sewing projects, helping you achieve an excellent finish every time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jno7 from Very disappointed I bought this yesterday as I was ready to layer my quilt. I followed washing instructions exactly, as I wanted to preshrink it. Disaster! The wadding fell into holes as I lifted it out of the washing machine, and was completely useless. I looked on the Hobbycraft website to double check I hadn’t misread the instructions, only to find that others have had the same experience. I am not alone. If only I had thought to read the reviews first. But I’m quite cross that the product hasn’t been withdrawn, or that the instructions haven’t been amended. £32 for quilt wadding isn’t cheap, and I was very disappointed. I have had my money refunded, when I took the wadding back to Hobbycraft, but I won’t buy more, I don’t trust it. And I had used my £5 October voucher, but the refund didn’t reflect this, so it seems I’ve lost that…..not very happy.

I followed the instructions for a pre-wash and used a delicate cycle with minimal spin, and yet massive holes appeared in the wadding as can be seen in the attached image. Very disappointed, I wish I'd stuck to the polyester wadding I'm used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenny M from Quilting Brilliant for patchwork quilting. Not too thick and much less fluffy than the polyester one that gets caught up in my sewing machine. It’s lovely and warm for such a thin layer so perfect for quilts.
