Not as great as I expected
When using on my machine, the thread decides to jump because of the way it has been wound on the spool. It's frustrating as it jumps alot and then gets caught around the spool pin and I have to stop mid-sewing to deal with it. This isn't because my needle tension is wrong, as it also happens when I try to wind a new bobbin... it is usually a very easy and fast process, but in this case it is painstakingly slow in order for it to not come out of place and wind up on the bobbin spindle.
It's a big no from me sadly. And I've got to get through the whole 1000m!

Good old Gutterman
Have only recently come back to serious sewing. Bit of a shock at how thread prices have risen ( do have hundreds in my stash) But we always need white and I have always used Gutterman for special long lasting projects since doing a hand sewn quilt 40 yrs ago which is still perfectly sewn together.
This 1000m white seems like good value- but £10 still hurts!

Wonderful thread
Overall very good thread, but this size spool does not fit on my sewing machine, and wouldn’t on most so just be aware when purchasing. Very good deal for this amount of thread however.

Good quality thread
Always use gutterman thread now after realising the quality of the thread you use really makes a difference. Can't go wrong with white and at this huge length it is really good value for money. Great that my local hobbycraft store had it in stock after running out just before finishing a project. Competively priced.

The best thread on the market
Guttermann thread is simply the best thread to use. Guttermann have threads for all types of sewing from all purpose to topstitching threads. They are strong and do not lint, which is good for your machine. Also their colour range is incredible - you can match any fabric colour accurately.

Gutterman thread
This thread is very good. I used this for my face coverings. I never use any thread rather than this now.
It's easy to put in the sewing machine, no need thread pull to put it into the needles.

So glad I found this 1,000 metre cotton. I use miles of it but can only buy the smaller ones locally so worth the journey
