Hemline Automatic Needle Threader

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needle threader Useless I thought , as my cross stitch pattern required 2 strands and threader would not accept 2 strands only 1 at a time. So in my opinion it isn’t very useful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless I tried for 45 minutes to thread a needle. You have to place a needle into a small hole, drape a thread across the machine, press the leaver, and hey presto it threads...not! It works by a tiny hook catching the thread and pushing it through the eye. This only works if the eye is in line with the hole, but you don't know if it is because you can't see it. I tried turning it a fraction each time, but not once did it work. The side for small needles did not even catch the thread. For what it is, it isn't cheap, so i had a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Totally unfit for purpose. very poor quality Bought as I often struggle to thread needles, and have faith in hobbycraft who usually sell good quality products. Instructions difficult to follow. Decided to practice on larger needle. The little hook does not rise far enough to catch the thread. The small side one bent when came onto contact with a small needle. It absolutely failed to thread any needle and is a fiddle to use. Husband who is good with this sort of thing had a look, took off plastic cover to try and realign but stated it was very poorly constructed and not fit for purpose. Will stick with the wire loop type.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Variable success with automatic needle threader Works brilliantly with some needles, but the small needles have to be very small to fit the hole. If they don’t fit the small hole, they are too small for the big hole.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Automatic needle threade This looked very useful but it was unusable. The thread would not go through the eye of the needle. I returned it and the assistant couldn’t do it either

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as easy as you think. Takes a bit of getting used to. You need to make sure the needle is in exactly right or it will break the wire that pushes the cotton tnto the needle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Automatic needle threader I brought this to help me tread my needles when sewing I didn't find this easy to use , so I would not recommend, it wasn't great value as I can't use it , the small needle eye slot seems to be faulty as when putting a smaller needle eye down inside the needle position it doesn't seem to go right down inside the mechanism very awkward to use ,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tricky to use & managed to break one side first attempt. Was really not clear in the instructions to start with, then I managed to break the large needle/eye side, but likely because thread was thicker than average.
