How to Make an Egg Carton Flower Wreath
Easter is a great time to get crafty, so why not make your own Easter wreath?
This easy project will allow you to upcycle any spare cardboard cartons, and is perfect for little ones as they can help make their own decorative bits with paints, pom poms and other decorations.
Older kids could use their cutting skills to shape the cartons to look like different types of flowers.
You will need
How to make
* Mod Podge Matte Finish 236ml
* Gold Taklon Brush Set 10 Pack
* Ready Mix Paint Pastel 150ml 6 Pack
* West Design White Foam Board A2 Single Pack
* Pastel Pipe Cleaners and Poms Craft Pack 80 Pieces
* Baby Pink Spots Grosgrain Ribbon 19mm x 4m
* A Craft Knife
* Craft PVA Glue
* A Pencil
Begin by cutting your foam base. Draw a circle with a 16 inch diameter, and inside the circle draw a smaller circle about 2 inches smaller – the board will mostly be covered so this does not need to be too neat.
Cut out the ring, paint it green and leave to dry.
Paint the egg cartons in pink, blue, peach and yellow. You will need a few coats to get a vivid, even colour.
Leave to dry.
Whilst the glue is still wet, stick on the egg cartons, alternating colours until the ring is full.
Leave it to dry overnight.
