How to Make Fabric Party Hats

* Pom pom trim - available by the metre in Hobbycraft stores
Take a sheet of A4 Card and attach chosen fabric to it by spreading the fabric glue across the card and pressing the fabric down making sure there are no creases in your fabric as you attach
Use the template and cut out before drawing round it on to the fabric backed piece of card using a pencil. Cut out with scissors
Fold the hat round to create your cone shape (there is enough card that some will overlap and this will be where you join them to secure). Use a hot glue gun to secure in place and hold until the hat shape is stuck
Cut the trim to fit around the bottom of the hat and use the glue gun to secure around the bottom.
Using the pom pom maker make a pom pom to fit onto of your hat, trim to neaten and make sure all the pom pots are roughly the same size for your hats
Using the hot glue gun attach the pom pom to the top of the hat to finish
