How to Decoupage a Pumpkin

If you've not got time to carve a real pumpkin this Halloween, why not get the whole family involved with decoupaging a mache one instead?

We've kept this project rather simple using patterned decorative paper, but you could also use glitter glue, gem embellishments or stickers to make your pumpkin stand out.

Hazard warning: This pumpkin can not be lit with a naked flame. If you intend for the pumpkin to be lit up inside, only use LED tealights.

How to make

How to Make

Start by cutting or ripping up your decoupage paper into strips or any shape of your choice.

Spread some glue onto the pumpkin then use the brush to pick up and position a piece of paper on top of the pumpkin. Add more glue to the paper to fix it in place.

Continue to do this until the whole pumpkin has been covered.

Leave to dry.

For an extra spooky looking pumpkin, put an LED tea light inside – DO NOT use a naked flame.
