I wanted to create something personal for my dad for Fatherâ's Day, to steer away from the typical golf gifts and chocolate. I had such a special wedding day and part of that was hanging out with my Dad and him giving me away, so I wanted to show to him how important that moment was for me. Everyone is different when it comes to making a scrapbook, here are some handy hints and tips to get you started...

How to make

Step-1
Choose photographs that are special to you.
Step-2
Start with your background. What colours and textures reflect the mood or atmosphere you want to portray? Is it more of a modern or more traditional twist? This sets the tone of your page
Step-3
Include texture. I added blue buttons as it suited the handmade theme of my wedding, and suited the tone of the photography. I also included a three dimensional frame to crop one of the photos so that is draws more attention to that moment.
Step-4
Add Typography. Is there something you want to say about that moment? I spelt out 'Dad' and 'Memories' which is pretty generic but I think works.
Step-5
Add something personal. I added a scrap of lined paper and wrote a message to my Dad telling him how much he means to me. You may want to write about something that's happening in the picture, or a personal message if it's a gift.
