How to make
You will also need:
- A piece of card or board 12 x 18cm with a window cut into it of 9 x 15cm
- A baking tray
- Baking paper
Break up the FIMO into quarters and then roll each piece into long sausage shapes. Taper the ends by rolling them with your fingertips.
Use the 12cm x 18cm card with a window of 9cm x 15cm as a base. You can cut this out of anything, but I used mountboard off cuts.
To make things simpler when you come to bake the FIMO, work directly on the baking sheet and tray. The base will give you a guide as to how long you need to roll the sausage shapes. Once rolled, place on the base and then curl the ends. Repeat with each side.
Taking more FIMO, roll some slightly thicker sausage shapes and then curve them slightly and push into the corners. Repeat on each side and then add more sausage lengths until there are no gaps in the frame.
Bake the FIMO in the oven on 110°C for 30 minutes. Leave to cool.
Once cool, use command strips to adhere to the back of the frame, following the manufacturers' instructions. Attach to your door or arrange on your shelf for instant nostalgia!
