How to Make a Grandparents Day Keyring
Celebrate Grandparents Day with the perfect gift! These sweet little handprint keyrings are a lovely little reminder of the tiny hands used to make them. Using Shrinkies to make the process even more exciting, this project is perfect for your little ones to explore something creative.
We've used a multi-coloured inkpad for the print here, but you could experiment with using single colours and using multiple hands for a more layered effect. The possibilities are endless!

How to make
Press the child's hand firmly into the inkpad and then print it onto the Shrinkies sheet (rough side up).
Punch a hole in the print - this will be where the keychain will attach to.
Cut around the handprint, making sure that there aren't any sharp edges. Then lay on a foil lined baking tray and bake it in the oven according to the instructions on the packet.
Place the nose of the pin-nosed pliers into the small link at the end of the chain and carefully ease open.
Thread the now cooled and shrunken handprint onto the link and then close the opening to finish.
Repeat this process to create even more adorable key chains!
