How to make
You will also need:
1 litre glass jug
Large kitchen knife
Fine grater
Funnel
Glycerin
Whisk
Teaspoon
Small screw driver
Hammer
Liquid soap dispenser bottle
To make 400ml of liquid soap
Remove the block of soap base from the packing then cut a 200g block. Cut into smaller chunks then grate using a fine grater.
Place 200ml of water in a glass jug then place in the microwave and boil. Once the water is bubbling add in the grated soap then whisk thoroughly. Add three of four drops of colour to the mixture depending how vibrant you want it. Add a teaspoon of glycerin to the mixture and a couple of drops of fragrance then whisk well.
Leave the mixture to cool, whisking often so the mixture doesn't separate. If it becomes a little thick then add a little more water and whisk well.
Place a small screwdriver in the centre of the jar lid then hammer it through to create a hole. Keep making holes around the original hole and trim away the excess metal with nail scissors.
Keep making the hole slightly bigger until the pump dispenser from a recycled bottle will push through the hole. Secure in place with waterproof glue.
Once the mixture has cooled and been thoroughly mixed, decant into the jar using a funnel to help it go in cleanly.
