You will need
How to make
* Scissors
* Glue/Double Sided Tape/Hot Glue Gun
* Silhouette Templates - Downloaded + Printed
* Materials to Decorate With - We've used Beads, Paint, Pom Poms, Yarn, Fat Quarters and Paper
1. Download and print the free template. Then cut around the head shape and stick to a sheet of A4 card.
2. Cut up pieces of yarn to various lengths. The smallest length we've used was 10cm.
3. Apply a thick layer of PVA glue into a bun shape at the top of the head. Begin to stick the yarn lengths onto the glue. You could also add a strand dangling down the side of the face.
4. Cut out an oval shape from fat quarters to create a headband. Attach this to the top of the head, slightly overlapping with the bun and the yarn down the face.
1. Download and print the free template. Then cut around the silhouette and attach it to a piece of A4 card.
2. Apply a thick layer of PVA glue to where a headband would sit. Stick down colourful pom poms onto the glue.
3. Repeat the same process for the hair, adding a thick layer of glue and pom poms.
4. Add more colourful pom poms as clothing and an earring.
1. Download and print the free silhouette template. Then cut around the head shape and attach to a piece of A4 card.
2. Using a hot glue gun, attach bright wooden beads to the portrait where a hair band and clothing would go. You could even add a bead earring!
3. Again, using the glue gun, create lines of glue to create hair. Leave for a few minutes to set, this creates a 3D braid effect.
4. Use black acrylic paint to colour in the hair area, including the ponytail.
1. Download and print the free template. Then, cut around the head shape and stick to a sheet of A4 card.
2. Cut up long, thin strips of card in a variety of colours.
3. To curl the strips of card, open the scissors wide and hold the blade at a 45 degree angle. Press down and gently scrape the blade from one end of the strip to the other. You may need to repeat this process a few times to get the paper curlier.
4. Arrange and attach the curls onto the card base. Cut a headband shape from a fat quarter and attach to the silhouette.
