How to Make

Step 1

Fill your wooden letters with a ½ inch layer of dry foam.

Top Tip: Press the foam brick down onto the wooden letter to create an imprint of the letter outline.

Step 2
Using a kitchen knife, carefully slice ½ inch down through the foam brick.

Step 3
Cut out the foam pieces using the impression marks as a guide.

Step 4
Using a hot glue gun, glue the foam piece to the wooden letter base.

Step 5

Prepare your faux materials. Cut the parsley fern into pieces as shown using wire cutters.

Step 6
Push the eucalyptus leaves up each stem and snip off leaving a ½ inch stem. These eucalyptus leaves look like another succulent type of plant and fill up the spaces nicely.

Step 7
Pull the pieces of the frosted asparagus fern away from the main stem.

Step 8
Cut or pull the stems off the short succulents. Cut the sedum into two pieces and the flocked long leaved succulent into three.

Step 9
Using a hot glue gun, glue green reindeer moss over the foam.

Step 10

Add the asparagus fern buy poking the end into the foam and laying the frond over the moss and foam. Use a hot melt glue gun to keep it in position.

Step 11
Next add the cut piece of the parsley fern. Use glue and push the wire ends into the foam. This helps keep everything in place by ‘pinning’ the moss and asparagus fern down.

Step 12
Add the eucalyptus bundles by gluing the base of the stem and inserting the wire into the foam. Hold it in place while the glue hardens.

Step 13
Finally add in the succulents, again use glue, and push them into the foam. Those without a wire, add additional glue to the base of the lower leaves and hold them in position until the glue hardens.

Step 14
Glue moss into any gaps where you can see the foam base.

Step 15
Continue adding the faux florals and foliage into the dry foam in the remaining letters.
