For kids Halloween is all about one thing, and one thing only, sweets! These skull chocolates are a great handmade trick or treat to give.

There are lots of different sweets you could make with the mould; you could make chocolate skull shells and turn them into piñata chocolates, or for an indulgent treat make solid chocolate skulls. If you're having a Halloween party, you could make skull ice cubes or jelly.

How to make

Step-1
Start by melting the Candy Melts as per the pack instructions.
Step-2
Start by 'painting' the mould with a little of the Candy Melts and then fill the moulds so that the chocolate is flush with the top of the mould.
Step-3
Tap the mould on the work surface to remove any air bubbles. I also do a double check for air bubbles by lifting the mould up to the light, you can then see any bubbles that have formed around the edge of the mould. To remove these use the paintbrush.
Step-4
Fill the remaining skull shapes as in steps two and three.
Step-5

Once happy with the skulls leave to set, or alternatively leave to set in the fridge for roughly 30 to 60 minutes.

Step-6
Once the skulls have completely set remove from the moulds and cut off any excess chocolate using a sharp knife.
Step-7
To secure the two halves of the skull together, use a little melted chocolate and gently place the front and back of the skull on top of one and other. Wipe away any excess chocolate the squeezes out of the sides, and leave to set.
Step-8
If you want to go for a more vibrant design include different colours of Candy Melts within the mould, and use a toothpick to swirl the different colours together.
